തിരമാലപോലെ ആർത്തിരമ്പുന്ന ഓർമ്മകളെ കോർത്തിണക്കി അക്ഷരങ്ങളുടെ ശാന്ത സാഗരമാക്കാനുള്ള ജാലവിദ്യ എനിക്കറിയില്ല. പക്ഷെ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലുറങ്ങുന്ന ഓർമ്മകളെയും ഉദിക്കുന്ന ചിന്തകളെയും കുറിച്ചുവെക്കാൻ ഒരിടം അതാണ് ഇത്. തീക്ഷ്ണമായ ജീവിതാനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ ഭാണ്ടമൊന്നും എനിക്കില്ല. എങ്കിലും ഓർമ്മിക്കുമ്പോൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ കണ്ണു നിറയ്ക്കുകയും ചിലപ്പോൾ പുഞ്ചിരി നിറക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരുപാടു നനുത്ത ഓർമ്മകൾ എനിക്കുമുണ്ട്. കാറ്റത്തെ കരിയിലപോലെ പറന്നുപോയ ഒരുപാടു സ്വപ്നങ്ങളുണ്ട്. ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും കാണാൻ പറ്റാത്ത അകലത്തേക്ക് മറഞ്ഞുപോയ ഒരുപാട് മുഖങ്ങളുണ്ട്. അവയൊക്കെയും ഞാനിവിടെ കുറിക്കുന്നു. ഒരുനാൾ ഞാനും ഒരു ഓര്മ്മയായി മാറുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ സ്മാരകമാകാൻ......
